Club Championship 2018-19: Simon Rueß convincing winner

Simon Rueß is Chess Club Rottal-Inn's new club champion. The 17-year-old secured the club title in a superior manner with six points from seven rounds and 1.5 points ahead of the field. Rueß is thus the youngest champions in the history of the chess club. He could concede a draw in each of the last two rounds. The distance to the field was already large enough after five wins in a row. Vice-champion became Josef Staller with 4.5 points, with the same score, but worse rating the 14-year-old Johannes Dittrich finished on third place - another proof of the club's successful youth work. Fourth place took Konrad Maier, who, as the two placed in front of him, scored 4.5 points, but ended up behind them because of a worse Buchholz tiebreak. Further rankings: 5. Youth teams finish the season 2018/19 on places in the middle of the table

The two youth teams of Chess Club Rottal-Inn finished the season in the Lower Bavarian youth leagues on places in the middle of the table
On the final day, the Jugend-Niederbayernliga team played 2:2 against ESV Plattling - Simon Rueß and Vladislav Sharin won their games - and finished fourth among six teams.The best individual result reached Simon Rueß on board 1 with three points from four games. Johannes Dittrich (board 2) scored two points from four games, Maximilian Hausleitner (board 3) and Vladislav Shahin (substitute) achieved 1/2. Luca Fechtner had one appearance and thereby reached a draw.
In the last round of the Jugend-Bezirksliga West SC Rottal-Inn 2 lost 0:4 against table leader FC Ergolding 4 and took third place under four teams in the final rankings. Vitalij Krajnik (board 4) was the best single player with two points from four appearances. One points each were scored by Vladislav Sharin (2 appearances), Leander Putz (3 appearances), Arek Steinsiek (3 appearances) and Fabian Majewski (4 appearances).

Chess Club Rottal-Inn finishes the Landesliga season on sixth rank (PNP report by Josef König)

Staying-up in the Landesliga Süd secured / Ingo Walch topscorer of the season with 6.5 points from nine games

Staying-up secured - place in the middle of the table reached: For the chess club Rottal-Inn, the team goals have worked out in the Landesliga Süd. The 2.5:5.5 defeat in the last round did not matter.
With a balanced 9:9 team point result and 35.5 board points, the Rottaler finished the season safely in sixth place.
